Romney - Jonathan Krohn Defines Problem With Conservatism

Hi friends. Today, I discovered Romney - Jonathan Krohn Defines Problem With Conservatism. Which is very helpful for me so you.

Do you know - Jonathan Krohn Defines Problem With Conservatism

Jonathan Krohn, 13-year-old author of self-published book "Define Conservatism" had been propelled to prominence by the mainstream media since his 2-minute speech at CPAC (Conservative Policital Action Conference), in which he was met with nothing less than an full round of applause from an auditorium full of staunch American conservatives.

What I said. It shouldn't be the final outcome that the actual about Romney. You check out this article for facts about a person need to know is Romney.

About Romney

While many were quick to lash at his immaturity and inexperience, few managed to poke holes in his model.  Krohn managed to exemplify, in layman's terms, the complexities of Conservative ideology, by sifting them into four core principles:

respect for the Constitution respect for life small government personal responsibility

I would argue that these principles are excessively vague to be practical in anon-monochromatic world; for example, ' respect for life ' hardly resolves the controversies of abortion, death penalty, torture, foreign interventions, and amnesty '; and the measurement of small government is subjective.

Nevertheless, I found this model to be a strong foundation from which to conservative party can and should embrace.

The idea should be nothing new.  They are not new ideas conjured by Krohn, he simply reclassified them.  The four principles should sound familiar to the true Conservatives.  Yes, that's right.  I hate to say it, but this has been precisely the message that Republican Ron Paul has been endorsing throughout most of his political career, even before he became a Republican; a strict Constitutionalist with a pro-life stance, advocating non-intervention and free market policies demanding the practice of personal responsibilities.

Anyhow, this isn't about Ron Paul, but how Krohn's remarkable definition actually highlighted precisely why the Republican Party is failing (and why America is in trouble.)

It is no secret that Ron Paul's ideologies have never been well received by his Republican colleagues.  In fact, when Krohn himself was interviewed who he thought would be potential candidates for 2012, he referenced a straw poll indicating a tie between Sarah Palin and Ron Paul, yet he subsequently followed his statement with "...I think the Alaska governor (Palin), Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal would be great picks for 2012, "deliberately omitting Ron Paul from electability.

Krohn haveconstantly argued "politics is not about the policies, but principles."  Those words sound good, but isn't that just another way of saying, "We care about what people think, but not what people do"?
In politics, policy is the only way in which principles are reflected.  What good are principles if your policies don't render them?  In fact, principles are insubstantial without the realistic backings of sound policies.

The problem with the modern day Republican Party is precisely that, good principles but flawed executions that marginalized its base to radical Christians and white males in a nation that is flourishing in diversity.

The fact that Krohn has openly revealed his admiration and agreement with the likes of McCain, Jindal, Hannity, Limbaugh and showsthat Krohn really didn't identify the inherent problems with existing policies and just how far they have veered off course.  He is oblivious to the nature of policies that should evolve from his core principles: Foreign Intervention? Increased military budget? Capital punishment? Corporate subsidies? Industrial-Military complex?  Perhaps, one may even interpret the Bush administration policies to be a manifestation of Krohn's principles, a set of policies that fundamentally brought the Republican Party to hell in the first place.

Based on the applause and approval of Krohn at CPAC, it seems most American conservatives agree with Krohn that the modern day Republican Party has veered (embarrassingly) off-course from its origin.

Yet, based on the people's (and Krohn 's)admiration for Limbaugh, Hannity, McCain, Palin and the likes, whose policies do not even remotely reflect his very own foundation of Conservatism and not so different from Bush 's, it seems Krohn hasn't really considered what kind of policies should actually emerge from the principles that he described, and what really needs to change.

Krohn's definition of Conservatism was a good starting point (and impressive from a 13 year-old) because of its simplicity and ISBN, but one cannot stop there.  One must re-examine all of its policies and how they correlate with these core values.  Without the policies, principles are nothing more than what Americans hate to hear the most at this point: empty rhetoric.
